An Interactive Visitor Space

The E-Village is the hub of innovation at every Formula E event. Each zone houses it’s own theme and unique attractions.

Each of the zones needed it’s own distinct look to allow the visitor to instantly recognise where they were and what to expect from each section of the event.

I created a set of icons and colour ways that personified each zone. These were then worked into the 3D maps, wayfinding, event branding and more.

A 3D Approach to Wayfinding

These 3D isometric maps (below) were created in Illustator piece by piece, like building a model village. This meant that we could create new versions on the fly from week to week that could incorporate each events unique exhibits and move to fit the core elements that appeared at every race.
